INDIANAPOLIS, INThe Sideline Project today announces Rugby Indiana as a Sideline Project Partner – in which parents, coaches, referees, spectators, and caregivers will be encouraged to take the 15-minute The Sideline Project course to improve the sideline behavior of spectators and coaches.

The Sideline Project seeks to improve the experience and development for youth players by improving sideline behavior and engaging, supporting, and educating youth sports parents, spectators and coaches.

Rugby Indiana, founded in 1990, provides rugby opportunities to over 1,700 players in grades 2 through 12. They believe that the global sport of rugby is uniquely suited to instill social skills including teamwork, fair play, self-discipline, respect for authority, and individual leadership within a safe, enjoyable, and competitive recreational sports experience.

Providing a positive youth sporting experience where all children feel inspired, develop important life skills, and establish healthy habits they will take with them for life must be a top priority for all youth sport organizations.

“The investment Rugby Indiana is making towards positively affecting the lives of youth players, families and dedicated coaches is commendable.  We are proud to collaborate with Rugby Indiana and are encouraged by their commitment to improving the youth sports landscape.” said Skye Eddy, Founder of The Sideline Project.

“We are excited to partner with The Sideline Project. For 35 years we have been introducing families to the sport of rugby, and its values. The Impact of the US Women’s Bronze Medal at the Paris Olympics, professional rugby for men and women in the US, and the Rugby World Cups for Women and Men coming to the US in a few short years, continues to drive the interest in our sport for years to come” said Wayne Eells, Executive Director of Rugby Indiana. “Having a partnership with The Sideline Project help us continue to provide positive sport opportunities for our youth and high school athletes.”
